Webinar on Responsible Research and Innovation

29 November 2016

TAFTIE Academy webinar on "Responsible Research and Innovation" will take place on 29 November 2016 at 15.00 - 16.30. Participation is free of charge and open to all interested persons.

Brief Description

Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) defines a comprehensive approach on how the societal actors can be brought together during the whole research and innovation process in order to better align the process and its outcomes for the whole society.

RRI is cross-cutting issue promoted in FP7 as well as in Horizon 2020 through various actions. Public engagement in Responsible Research and Innovation is about co-creating the future with citizens and civil society organisations. European Commission is one of the major promoter of RRI topics, which now has been taken on focus by other international organizations like OECD.

As RRI is a relatively new topic for the innovation agencies, this webinar aims to provide an introduction for the RRI concept, present the objectives of the EC very briefly and then introduce the real life examples on how RRI can be integrated in funding programmes of the agencies. It can also provide useful guidance on stakeholder engagement in STI (Science Technology Innovation) Policy making.

Join us to find out more in this emerging topic in STI Policy making!
